APS Retiree Health and Wellness Benefits Plan

Corporate Human Resources has partnered with the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees to enable current and future retirees from the Alberta Public Service to enrol in a group benefits program. The Alberta Public Sector Retiree Health and Wellness Benefits Plan is sponsored by the Alberta Retired Teachers' Association (ARTA) and administered by Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP). The plan includes Extended Health Coverage with an Out-of-Province/Canada Emergency Travel Option, Dental Care, and Long Term Care for retirees and their eligible dependents.

Program details can be accessed through the Alberta Retired Teachers' Association (ARTA)External Linkwebsite.  Click on Find your Organization, ARTA Members from the Public Sector, then Alberta Public Service Retirees.

You will then have access to the:

  • Public Sector Plan Summary.
  • Public Sector Benefits Plan Application Form that includes banking information requirements to set up the automated withdrawals for benefit premiums.
