Stream Definition:

Entails the application of theories and principles of Architecture, or Engineering Science, Applied Science, or Geology or Geophysics.  Functions require eligibility for membership in the Alberta Association of Architects; or admittance to the Association of Professional Engineers, geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
  

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

Engineering and Related Level 1
Engineering and Related Level 2
Engineering and Related Level 4

Engineering and Related Level 1

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • University graduation in Engineering or Applied Science or Geology or Geophysics, or graduation from a recognized School of Architecture.  No experience required.  Eligible for in-training status with the APEGGA or for membership with the AAA.

Engineering and Related Level 2

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • University graduation in Engineering or Applied Science or Geology or Geophysics, or graduation from a recognized School of Architecture, plus five years related experience; or equivalent as described below.  Eligible for membership with the APEGGA or AAA.

    Equivalency: Additional related education considered in lieu of experience on a one-for-one basis.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • University graduation in Engineering or Applied Science or Geology or Geophysics or graduation from a recognized School of Architecture, plus ten years related experience; or equivalent as described below.  Eligible for membership with the APEGGA or AAA.

    Equivalency:  Additional related education considered in lieu of experience on a one-for-one basis.
