Stream  Definition:

Installation, maintenance, support and planning of information technology infrastructure (software/hardware).  Entails the application of computing science principles and theories.  Work could involve specialization in:  end-user support, applications, technical support, or any combination of these.  Work includes:  assisting non-EDP users in the use of the computer; or development and/or maintenance of small to medium applications or segments of larger or more complex applications; or evaluation, installation and support of moderately complex system hardware/software.

Systems Analyst Level 2
Systems Analyst Level 3

Systems Analyst Level 1

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • University graduation in computer science or a related discipline and no experience required; or equivalent as described below.

    Equivalency: A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and two years related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and three years related experience.

    Equivalency: A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and four years related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five years related experience.
