Introduction
Established in 2006, the Supervisor Certificate Program (SCP) was developed by a cross-government team of supervisors and HR professionals to provide a structured learning path for individuals with supervisory responsibilities within the Alberta Public Service (APS).
The program supports leadership development and assists with the development of knowledge, skills and competencies key to successful supervision.

Program Curriculum
The curriculum consists of 8 courses that vary in length and costs. It is highly recommended that candidates complete "Keys to Supervision" first. Keys to Supervision is the foundation course for this program.

Employees who supervise others - new and experienced, at all levels are encouraged to participate.

Discuss your participation in the program with your supervisor and include the program in your Career and Learning plan.
You can register in the program through MyAgent.

Completing the Program
To receive a complete status in a course, participants must attend at least 80% of the course. If you are unable to complete 80%, you will be required to re-enroll and attend the entire course (all days). Certificates will be distributed to your Human Resource department following program completion.
